Going Home Forever and Some More

Light is fading fast.
Skin is growing cold.
Life is starting to become old.
Hell's hounds never found me,
Angels surround me.
The shouts of my name,
The muted screams above the water.
I am paralyzed with an icy drear.
Will I freeze to death first,
Or will I die from no breath?
Deeper and deeper I sink,
I can no longer move.
I see the shadows of my friends above the ice,
They are running,
Their screams I no longer hear.
The deeper I go the less I see,
So far I do not feel the fear.
My vision is fading,
I'm starting to feel my heart slow.
I ,my God, I am ready to go.
The angels take my arms.
I fly with them up to the top.
We are heading for some great light.
We finally stop.
I am dropped off at the beautiful gates of lore.
I am going home forever then some more.

If you like this rate it. Message me. I would love to talk with you about poetry.
