The Alley

The Alley

I am laying in the alley.
Most of my life is on the pavement.
My attacker has left me.
He took grandmother's necklace.
He stole all my things.
The pain of the brick and his body still remain.
What did I do to deserve this?
I was just grabbing medicine for my brother.
"Help me!" I yelled into the night.
"Help me!" I called to the darkness.
No one came.
I felt myself starting to slip away.
"Mommy, Mommy." I whispered into the dark.
She wouldn't hear me.
She's been dead for ten years.
"Jimmy, I'm sorry I tried." I said to my brother.
I can't reach my cellphone.
More of my life is pooling around me on the pavement.
Suddenly it all goes black.
I guess I am done...

A little dark for me, bur if you like it rate it. Message me. I would love to talk poetry with you.
