Challenge 3! Lyrical love

She stared at me saying
“I promise I’ll run away with you.”
Tears in her eyes saying
“Where’d you go seems like it’s been forever since you’ve been gone.”

Our childish laughter surrounding us
“I''ll make you a mud pie warm and brown beneath the sun.”
It was our first one year, staring into her eyes
“I’m better near to you.”

She snickered joking,
“Am I still your charm or am I just bad luck?”
Now it hit and I found out.
“Take my tears and that’s not nearly all.”

Up on the hilltop we loved
“I’ll hold you and love you forever.”
With only coldness in my heart now.
“Let’s compare scars I’ll show you whose is worse.”

Blankly staring at him
“Think twice before you touch my girl, come around I’ll let you feel the burn.”
Turning to her eyes filled with crushing pain.
“When all is said and done and dead does he love you the way that I do?”
