Stuff and Unstuff 1

Robert wasn`t a Catholic. He was what some might call, "too much the self sufficient rebel to submit to that much discipline." He did so love the symbolism and he did so love it when he had an appointment in the nearby city and had time to visit their Catholic memorial garden. He loved that others could get that discipline more than he. He could see the depth that that added to the art of the memorials.
He always started the walks the same, especially in the early morning as the sun rose and it`s light shone on the statuary creating intriguing shadows and points of emphasis. He always started on the path at a lively pace then turned South and took three turns through the unborn child nook past a statue of Rachel weeping for her children. He didn`t try to swallow the tear that formed while he moved to the top of the bluff and started his three circuits around the huge statue of the Madonna from the outer path to the inner.
His heart, already prepared by Rachel statuary, begins to unstuff it`s anger, hate, and sorrow, it`s briny bile flowing out and away from him as he circled the Virgin Mother. He felt himself becoming softer, gentler, and more kind. He crossed behind her graceful flowing robes and walked in front, her sandled foot stepping out and her hands in imploring supplication to God and man. He was caught up in that great symbol of the Holy Catholic Church, her heart on her chest given to her Son and God and us and the universe. Two more circuits and one last gaze into the morning sun at the heart and then the whole of that artistic magnificence that says so much by just being.
With a heart full of soul, Bob walked to the section of the gentle saint. The saint was surrounded by forest animals. Bob`s heart was opening more and more to the universe.
He approached the large statue of the Son. Bob walked three circuits absorbing so much meaning. Bob`s heart filled and opened more. He had had many meditation walks, but none more moving, meaningful, and beautiful than this one. He felt very close to God.
It was time to see his therapist. They had a very productive meeting. She recommended books on wellness. The first he found was one by Mark Hyman, M.D. It had good suggestions for diet and supplements that he implemented to success. His sleep improved, which brought better brain function with less fog. He was able to have longer meditation walks and that improved his stamina. His health improved. He was getting more and more unstuffed
