Die in Autumn

Die in Autumn

If I die in Autumn
That won?t be so bad

If I fall
Then I?ll hear the leaves crunch
My body pressing them to the earth
And that aroma will be my last breath

If I sit
I?ll be looking out the window
Big screen technicolor foliage
Rusty hues imprinting on my eyes
As the light in them fades

If I sleep
Then all those things
Are mine
I dream
And I?ll take them with me
Along with your smile.
