Memoirs of a Psychotic Painting Elephant

Memoirs of a Psychotic Painting Elephant

I passed out on my living room floor.
The carpet felt like endlessly woven jelly worms underneath my relaxed body,
but it wasn?t until my eyes closed, that I realized the stream of color paintings.
The brush stroked were huge then they diminished with a weary blink.
The room rotated around a palette visage of color: red, green, orange, blue, swept over me.
Continuously.
Paint of all colors coming from a foot long brush.
Like a dream, at the end of the brush handle, did I see,
A twenty foot elephant staring back at me.
It took me by surprise.
I thought alcoholic drunken-hallucinogen, psychotic-delusions were pink.
And his apparent adornment of the entire color spectrum on his body made me rethink that notion.
He busily painted the forever canvas of my mind with ease.
His red eyes glowed in unrivaled madness.
I heard him, them, laugh, most hysterically.
Then the rainbow brute had me write down his nonsensical garble.
He spoke, not clearly, and at times it seemed there were echoes of his ranting voice.
The elephant kept paining as he rambled.
He was obsessed with Monet, Van Gogh, and DaVinci.
Nothing could save me from this schizophrenic painting elephant.
When I woke the next day, a mural of paint dried on my living room wall,
Words in black crayon reminded me of the stories that I was told.
So, I stood in awe with a headache and a wobble,
There as shining as the daylight, I can make no mistake,
I wrote the memoirs of a psychotic painting elephant.
