The scout left the vessel
His assignment quite simple.

Cartoon background fill the skies
Between the lies and it's people's minds
Please let the scales fall from their eyes
The bodies of proof stacked chest high
It's okay I have an alibi.

I thought that one would....
One wood and a field away
Always mine until this day
The storms gathered on the horizon
and you looked away.

They lifted up their faces up
to lesser gods
sometimes silent ones sometimes violent ones
The crying ones shed tears for the dying ones
mourning words and even(ing) fears
A splinter from the banister you rode to the final floor
And now you're down here
And you don't want to be anymore.

Archaic formulaic can't say it
Archaic formulaic don't say it
It's not okay to say what they say
It's not okay to say what they say.

Plugged into machines and yet disconnected
Something ancient cold and ugly resurrected
Ignore the elephant behind the curtain in the room
I miss the blissful ignorance that spelled my doom
Just when the leaders thought their plan was perfected
On their knees bowing to the new gods
It's statues erected.

The scout reported back,
No Sir, no signs of intelligent life have been detected.
