Feeling chemicals bring my brain to life
A craving relieved by a single pill
Dare I not admit to needing it
For I appear stronger to those naive

Tension thickens with all who know
Yet my cares slip away with one hit
Dare I not apologize for using it
For I appear confident in my decisions

Failing becomes a common occurrence
There is less motivation with each high
Dare I not try to reverse it
For I appear to admit I am wrong

Loss of all I have is an issue
But I still find one more trip
Dare I not attempt to repair it
For I appear to display concern

Nothing is here for me anymore
And I owe it all to every rush
Dare I not seek help with it
For I appear to have nobody left
