Old Stories

Beginings are hard. maybe because the story was already moving before i got here. maybe because it's difficult to pick out a point in any time and say, yep, this is where it all began. because...it's never that simple. at least, i don't think.
like, "i was born on this day some many many years ago," but the thing is i existed before i tore my mother open. before i took my first cold breath. and isn't that part of the story too? and before i existed, some parts of me were in the sun and in the earth and in the bones and blood of my mother. and she existed for a long time in other shapes and forms, too.
but maybe im being too literal.
the hardest part, for me, is the begining of a story.
but i guess, i could start with this...
a long long time ago, in another world, in another time, there lived a man in a strange and dangerous forrest. we can call him, Grandfather. because i can't remember his name anymore.
